Has to be - far too nice and shiny out on these mean streets. But am I wrong? Spotted outside my work.
I'm not sure what else you need in an interior.

Out-of-state, so probably a higher chance of being real.
If it had NY plates it'd probably be covered in rust?
Edit: Wait, CCC has a Cobra. And on their website it has FL plates as well...

In my experience, they are always replicas.

I have read (here on Oppo) that the original ones had single knock-off lugs. It looks like the center lugs on this one are fake, hiding the multiple lug nuts behind. So I think that's the giveaway that this is a replica. But I am certainly no expert.

naw but i would like to live to drive that car

I'm gonna be very upset I didn't take a thousand more pictures if it was real...

Looks like a FFR, but could be some other kit.
Was the battery behind the seat?

I think it's CCC's car !

on the off chance it was real i didn't want to get too close, so I'm not sure

I always assume that it's a replica

general rule- it's probably a replica.
I doubt that anyone parks their legit Cobra on the street, lol

My dad has a replica... Many people ask the question after getting out of it at Canadian Tire or parking it while shopping.
The answer is, if you are this close to it and I'm driving it on a road when it isn't pebble beach with other cars, its a replica.
Edit: Also the interior on this one, while nice is not an original car, the gauges aren't in the right spot, the shifter isn't correct and there is no glove box. The steering wheel to my eyes also looks too small and too fat, that's one part some replicas have just like the originals as the company still makes them.

5 lug wheels, cross drilled rotors, no snaps for the tonneau. Replica. Still be a blast to drive, I bet.

YOU know how to tell is a cobra is real or not? You don't. They're all fake!

the wheels are completely wrong, so I'm going to say it's not real. The rear lights also look exactly like what FFR uses standard, so there's that too. Period correct tail lights are a rectangular shape, no circular like that one.
In fact, since the wheels aren't real knockoffs (replicas with a 5 lug pattern), it's a kit.
Original cobras put the battery behind the seat, and is the #1 reason taller people can't get in them (seat doesn't go back far enough).
I met a guy who has one, and he can't drive it because he said when he pushes the clutch all the way to the floor, his knee is against the dash. They're a really tight fit for anyone much taller than about 5'10". Many replicas moved the battery to the trunk so the seats can go back, and I've seen guys around 6'4" fit in them. Whether it's comfortable is a different matter though.

I'm no expert on them, but it's definitely a rep. First flag is that the wheels are 2" too big, and are fake knockoffs. Something about that front fender profile looks wrong too. The steering wheel is too small, just an off the shelf aftermarket piece. Originals had big steering wheels because of the fat tires and manual steering. Don't care, I'd still rock it.

The CCC's car has a different a different plate (though it is Florida as well)

There is of course the weird option that it is an original Shelby Cobra but still a replica. Shelby apparently created VIN numbers for big bunch of cars that weren't built. Maybe ten years (maybe 20, years go so fast) ago they decided to build the cars to match the old but unused VIN numbers. They created the partially modernized CSX series cars. There are at least 4000, 6000 and 8000 series but I don't remember what the numbers represent.
I have seen some ending up in Europe as '65 cars. They weren't even terribly expensive.

It does look a lot like CCC's shelby. A LOT!

the CCC Cobra is silver with black stripes.

its a fake dash layout sticks out to me as being wrong. The shifters old odd and the steering column is way higher than I've ever seen.

If you have to ask...it's a replica.
![]() 08/11/2014 at 17:13 |

Its usually safe to assume 99.4% of Cobras are replicas, its why the real ones at car shows often have big signs propped up in the windshield attesting to their genuineness.

This is true, although the apartment complex in the background across the street is home to many many millionaires and probably a few billionaires too.
